Car2Go wanted to increase its usage, brand recognition, and social presence in Austin during SXSW.


We leveraged the exceptional amount of traffic that receives during SXSW and promoted registrations and SXSW Car2Go Drop Zones on the site, and through social media channels, dedicated email blasts and blog posts. Not only did we achieve all of Car2Go’s goals, we exceeded their expectations.


  • 1,962 completed registrations at the end for the4-week program
  • 3,012 people entered using the FB app
  • 81% of non-members that entered the contest redeemed their code
  • 1,967 used the “Do512” promotion code
  • 24,209 free minutes were used during 1,787 trips by approximately 900 members during March
  • 2,086 new email addresses and FB fans
