DoStuff - Account Manager, DoMORE (Membership Program)

DoStuff is a national network of local media brands focused on helping our culture-forward audience find awesome events. Since its launch in 2010, it has established itself as the go-to source for discovering what to do.

In 2019, we launched a membership program in Chicago called Do312 MORE - where members receive a pair of tickets to a local live event every month for just $5 a month. It’s a great tool to help them discover even more great stuff in their city. Now we're gearing up to launch DoMORE nationwide this summer.

Our members are young, social, influential and love checking out cool venues and bands they’ve maybe never heard of. Our ticketing partners are comprised of all the folks creating awesome events of all kinds in a given city (concerts, festivals, pop-up experiences, comedy shows, sports, and all the other awesome experiences). They recognize tremendous value in driving incremental onsite traffic by tapping into our member base. This is a full-time, salaried position.

The Role:

As a DoMORE Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for the success and growth of our membership across multiple markets.

Our members rely on us to find experiences that will get them up off their couch and out of the house (at least one more time a month). You’ll be working closely with the DoMORE team and our partners to constantly build relationships and secure event tickets, input them into our data matching system, and then award them to members – all while handling the communication flow with members and partners. It’s important to be flawless in how we perk our members with the right tickets and events to ensure our venue/promoter partners realize the full value of having our members onsite. You’ll also be working with the DoMORE team to continually improve the product, UX, and processes so we can do even more nationwide. You will continually help us track data performance.

You Are:

  • Experienced in promoting and marketing live events.

  • Knowledgeable in how live events operate.

  • Interested in a career in the music and live event business.

  • Have a basic working knowledge of ticketing systems, box offices, major players, etc.

  • In-the-know about general music genres, tastes, trends, and pop culture.

  • A great communicator. Short. Entertaining. Get It Done. Can put together a coherent email quickly. You’re cool with picking up the phone and talking to a total stranger to work through a last-minute issue and/or selling them on why our membership is awesome!

  • Interested in learning about monthly membership/subscription services of all types.

  • Ready, willing and able to work a sometimes unconventional schedule - quickly answering partner/member needs sometimes in the evening hours or weekend.

  • Have a stellar sense of the kinds of pivots we need to make for our members and our event partners.

  • Comfortable using spreadsheet programs (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.) to sort and manipulate data.

  • Full of HUSTLE.
