DoStuff is a national network of media properties run by local teams in 21 cities that help 110+ million people a year answer the question; “What are we going to DO tonight?” We exist to help people get more out of life (and their cities) by making it easy to find and attend great live events.
We're on a mission to bring DoStuff to as many cities as possible and next up is Philadelphia! Right now, we're assembling an all-star team to help us prepare for the launch and be the inaugural local pros that bring Philadephians the best ways to fill their nights and weekends, news about just announced events in the city, tons of rad ticket giveaways and more.
Your job is to make sure that we matter in the market. You take a holistic approach to understand the factors that drive local audiences and subsequent revenue growth, and you leverage DoStuff’s voice to strengthen our perception in the city. You are motivated to break into all of the scenes that matter in Philadelphia, and you think of creative ways to support those scenes and gain local trust throughout the city.
You are active in the Philadelphia entertainment scene, love helping others solve problems, being the local hero that connects the dots to create new relationships, and care greatly about the city that you live in.
This is a full-time, salaried position, based in Philadelphia.
Your role:
Partnerships, Brand Development & Marketing:
Maintain and shape our brand positioning and development.
Use your understanding of the markets major players, decision makers and competitive landscape across entertainment scenes of the city to develop partnerships that drive audience and open doors for ad revenue and ticket inventory.
Contribute to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range initiatives.
Drive idea generation and content development across the marketing platforms of the brand.
Represent our brand at community events.
Curate and oversee execution of events on our behalf.
Manage relationships with key marketing partners.
Oversee execution of nationally sold programs.
Work closely with your Content Manager in the market to ensure that what we’re creating builds brand affinity and provides for ongoing growth in the market.
Live Event Partnerships/Sales:
Serve as the main point of contact for our Live Event partners in Philadelphia. Sell them marketing campaigns that combine our media and membership product and ensure that we deliver successfully. Develop further, on-going business.
Monitor the live event landscape locally and become an expert on what is happening.
Prospect and build targeted partnerships with local and regional live events and local business verticals to position the Philadelphia property as a key and influential member of Philadelphia, set the stage to build DoMORE ticket inventory, and develop advertising customers.
Sell digital marketing campaigns to local and regional businesses looking to make an impact in your city.
Source DoMORE ticket allocations across all existing live event partnerships and monitoring monthly ticket inventories – doing regular follow-ups with partners to secure new/additional ticket inventory, as needed.
Work closely with local/regional Account Managers to fulfill sold client programs and ensure flawless client service and delivery.
Use our CRM platform to manage a pipeline or media partners and secure ticket inventory.
Develop sales proposals and contracts.
You have:
A deep understanding of our target consumer (21-35 year old, social & influential Philadephians who love to discover new things in and about their city), coupled with a passion to explore and connect culture in Philadelphia.
A fundamental understanding between partnerships and advertising opportunities - and how to leverage our platform to convert leads to partners, and partners to clients.
Extensive knowledge about the Philadelphia market.
A proven track record in business development, networking, marketing, and community engagement.
An understanding of the live event scene and what Philadelphia venue owners and promoters need and value in partnerships.
The confidence to make quick and effective decisions.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
You can manage fast-paced work masterfully and juggle demands for different partners & clients.
You can befriend anyone, and understand their goals and needs.
