The Role:
Are you interested in interning for DoStuff? You’re in luck! We’re frequently hiring interns and contributors, so if you’re already a regular DoStuff user or are just a star, you may be the right fit.
We are an equal-opportunity employer. Diverse and unique experiences and points of view are vital for our city's continued growth. Whether it be race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity, we're proud to have a seat at the table for anyone looking to help people do awesome things.
What will you experience with a DoStuff internship? A lot of hard work, a lot of fun, and a lot of learning.
What You’ll Do:
Each day as a DoStuff Texas Intern starts with a focus on keeping our website, newsletter, and social channels fresh, engaging, and accurate. With lots of eyes on our content, we’ll count on you to help maintain quality and consistency across the board.
You’ll be involved in many aspects of our content and operational process, from brainstorming to execution. We’re looking for someone ambitious, detail-oriented, and full of creative energy. You should be excited about discovering cool events, understanding audience behavior, and finding new ways to connect with people online and IRL. Expect to attend shows and events, contribute ideas, and explore what makes each Texas market tick.
Other things you might do:
Identify creative opportunities for media trades, event sponsorships, and partnered content
Help brainstorm and support brand partnership initiatives
Use social media to drive awareness and ticket sales
Build lead lists with links to websites, social handles, and contact info
Pitch in at DoStuff events, run occasional errands, and support wherever needed
This internship offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in events, marketing, and media—plus the opportunity to build a network of exciting and useful contacts.
What We’re Looking For:
Availability to work a hybrid schedule, including at least one day a week in our Austin office.
Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X with current, active profiles.
Strong, proven writing skills with examples; specifically familiar with event previews, reviews, and social media in general.
Strong focus, ability to work quickly and efficiently, and eye for detail/organization.
Previous knowledge of search engine optimization.
Strong understanding of marketing and/or digital audience engagement.
Perks:
We’ve got lots of them. Enjoy free concert and festival tickets, drinks, food, learning experiences, building new skills, and meeting new people.
