Your job is ensuring that Do604 and Do250 matter in the market. You take a holistic approach to understanding the factors that drive local audiences and subsequent revenue growth, and you leverage DoStuff’s voice to strengthen our perception of the city. You are motivated to break into all of the scenes that matter in Vancouver and Victoria, and you think of creative ways to support those scenes and gain local trust throughout the city.

You are active in the Vancouver entertainment scene, love helping others solve problems, are the local hero who connects the dots to create new relationships and care greatly about the city that you live in.

This is an hourly, contract position based in Vancouver.

The Role:

Your role is to drive partnerships, ensure we meet our brand promise, and run our marketing efforts. The overall flow of this looks something like this:

  • Brand Development: You'll be responsible for maintaining and evolving our brand positioning, ensuring it resonates with our audience and stands out in the market.
  • Partnerships:

    • Use your understanding of the market's major players, decision-makers, and the competitive landscape across entertainment scenes of the city to develop & manage partnerships that drive audience and open doors for ad revenue and ticket inventory.

    • Utilize our CRM platform to manage a pipeline of media partners and secure ticket inventory essential for our DoMORE subscription service launch and ongoing success.

  • Marketing Strategy & Execution: You'll identify both short-term tactics and long-range strategies to enhance our marketing effectiveness, influencing content creation and idea generation across all our platforms.

  • Market Expertise: Keep a pulse on the local live event landscape and stay ahead of trends and opportunities.

  • Client Relations: Build and nurture relationships with clients to make their campaigns successful, foster ongoing business, and establish DoBC as a live event promotion expert.

  • Community Engagement: Represent our brand at community events and create DoBC events to solidify our presence and connection with the local scene.

  • Sales Development: Prospect and build targeted lists across local and regional live events, businesses, and brands.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Content Manager in your market to ensure our content strengthens brand affinity and contributes to growth.

You Have:

  • A deep understanding of our target consumer (21-35-year-old, social & influential in Do604 / Do250 who love to discover new things in and about their city), coupled with a passion to explore and connect culture in Vancouver/Victoria.

  • A fundamental understanding between partnerships and advertising opportunities - and how to leverage our platform to convert leads to partners, and partners to clients.

  • Extensive knowledge about the Vancouver/Victoria market.

  • A proven track record in business development, networking, marketing, and community engagement.

  • An understanding of the live event scene and what Vancouver/Victoria venue owners and promoters need and value in partnerships.

  • The confidence to make quick and effective decisions.

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

  • You can manage fast-paced work masterfully and juggle the demands of different partners & clients.

  • You can befriend anyone and understand their goals and needs.
