Speaking words of wisdom, let it B2B

March is coming to an end… and yet time marches on. Ironic, isn’t it? No? Oh, our bad. We thought irony was when you take a word that’s spelled the same and use it in two different ways. Pretty ironic that we made that mistake, wouldn’t you say? 😏

Still no? Alright, whatever. We’re not here to prove we know how irony works. We’re here to prove we know how writing an email works, and so far, the results speak for themselves. You know what they’re saying? “You know how to write an email!”

Now, let’s get down to the business of what our business has been getting up to!

Here's what we've been up to:

Do312 and Do215 Had Nice Days

312 Day: Like most days that happen on a specific calendar date, 312 Day comes but once a year. Unlike those other days, 312 Day (along with other city Days) is our chance to celebrate the area codes from which we get our namesakes. The Do312 team linked up with a flood of partners to secure 50+ 312 Day discounts, giveaways, and deals across the city and stuck ‘em all on a handy guide. Staycations, unique city experiences, gift cards to restaurants, bars, the whole shebang. Then we hosted a party at Chicago’s iconic Wiener’s Circle, with music by DJ Ca$hera and Prosperity Room, a Chicago-themed costume contest, and $3.12 hot dogs. The event received 1000+ RSVPs with hundreds of guests in attendance to enjoy drink specials from Goose Island, Keeper’s Heart, and WYNK.

215 Day: You only get one chance at a first 215 Day, and we weren’t about to blow it by keeping our plans small. Holds? Not barred. Balls? To the wall. Measures? Done in full. You get the idea. Philadelphia became our Monopoly board as we conspired with 50+ local establishments to dispense giveaways and deals STRAIGHT TO THE PEOPLE. We also launched our inaugural Gritty City Crawl - a Gritty-themed bar crawl/scavenger hunt that trekked through multiple neighborhoods, venues, and bars while also landing itself as a featured weekend event on multiple media outlets. Beyond that, we curated events and after-parties that showcased Philly’s neighborhoods in all their gritty glory.

BEWARE THE IDES OF MERCH

Chicago and Philly are putting their merch where their mouth is... with new merch stores that launched in sync with 312 Day and 215 Day! We tapped underground legends Emily Burlew (Chicago) and Brian Langan (Philly) to craft genuinely rad designs that fuse our city guides with wearable art. Check ‘em out - you can still snag pieces through Sad Boi Tees, a local merch producer. Take a peek at Do312's merch store here, and Do215's here.

Sponsor-taneous Combustion

WE SELL EMAIL SPONSORSHIPS!? While this revelation might rank somewhere between death and taxes in the ol’ ‘duh’ department, it’s important to note that we will never kill or audit you. Likewise, it’s worth mentioning that it’s now a lot easier to sponsor or buy other placements within our email across all of our local markets at once. Lots of partners asked us for this so that’s why we’re telling you about it. You’re welcome!

DoMORE Than Meets The Ear

DoMORE extends far beyond concerts. It’s tickets to sports, theatre, workouts, comedy, gaming, and a whole lot more. Our non-music ticket offerings are up 48% YTD, proving our members are hungry for experiences beyond the mosh pit. We recently joined forces with Dave & Buster's, slipping $20 Power Cards into DoMORE members' digital wallets across multiple cities. These arcade passports were redeemed for in-store gameplay, bringing a fresh wave of button-mashers through D&B’s doors.

Meanwhile, our Barry's Bootcamp alliance let members bring a friend to experience the infamous workout class - free of charge. Barry's received a bumper crop of potential fitness freaks, while our members discovered muscles they never knew existed. Everyone's sore, everyone's happy.

That’s just about all we’ve got in the tank for March, we’ll check back in sometime next month for another one of these little chats. We’ve gotta get marchin’ on out of here… Pretty ironic word choice, wouldn’t you agree?

See you in April.
